R.I.P.'d.

I have some sad news.
There IS a conclusion to the Bordeaux wine trip (see the start: here).

 

While Deuter may be the face of all things luggage related - clever readers might have realised he is just too big to be taken carry-on. For in-cabin travel, behind the scenes there was another bag - Brown Bag.  

In a rare event - Brown Bag was checked in, carrying several bottles of well packed Bordeaux wine (the excess bottles that workhorse Deuter just couldn't fit).

Then just before we boarded the plane leaving France - he was returned to us. 

Whether he was thrown, crushed or run over, only EasyJet knows... but Brown Bag's adventure ends here.
